A History of Craftsmanship

Gozaemon Masunaga began eyewear production in Japan in 1905.  In September 1933, Masunaga presented the Emperor of Japan with three solid gold frames and a Masunaga frame was included in the time capsule at the Osaka World Expo in 1970.

Quality you can Feel

Masunaga’s beautiful richly coloured hand polished acetate, titanium frames sport seven barrel hinges for exceptional durability.  There are over 200 manual processes involved in making a single Masunaga frame.

Exceptional Fit

Aside from their stylish good looks and exceptional quality, Masunaga frames offer a superior fit.  Put one on your face and you’ll immediately feel the difference: their bridges are sculpted for fantastic comfort and weight distribution.
