Top Frame Trends going into 2016

“The only thing constant is change.”

It’s been millennia since Heraclitus said it, and it applies perhaps more to the fashion industry than any other. So if you’re looking to stay on top of or get ahead of the trends when looking for your new glasses, keep these notes in mind!

This frame is surprisingly flattering on many face shapes for men and women.

Shapes are getting softer for both men and women. The boxy, angular corners of a few years ago are being replaced with more rounded corners.

The Cat Eye continues to be a big trend for women right now. The upsweep gives all of us an instant “facelift”. It’s a sexy, feminine shape that pairs well with the more feminine fashion trends.

Not every feels that they can pull off a Cat Eye, and it’s true that they don’t suit everyone. There are, however, lots of “modified Cat Eye” shapes which follow the look but are more subtle and easy to pull off.

They say “God is in the details”.

There’s a definite trend toward investing in quality pieces that perform over cheaply made products. No where is this more important than your eyewear, where they need to not only look good, but fit comfortably and take a beating. Quality frames made in France, Japan and Italy also boast beautiful finishes, rich coloration, excellent anatomical fits and small details that set them apart.

I hear this more than anything else right now. People want to have fun with their glasses; they want to choose something unique and interesting which expresses their personality and flatters their face. After all, if you’ve got to wear them, you might as well make a statement and have fun with your face!
